Tata Power, Jojobera supported ENERGY CLUB and STEM Education Program: Local Students Shine in National STEM Challenge 2024

Jamshedpur : Tata Power Jojobera, in collaboration with the ALIG Society implement the ENERGY CLUB and STEM Education program. We are thrilled to announce that students from Basic Government School, Chhota Govindpur, Jamshedpur, have achieved remarkable success in the National STEM Challenge 2024, organized by Brillio and STEM Learning.

Deepak Kumar and Sunny Kumar, both in Class 8 at Basic Government School, showcased exceptional talent and innovation throughout the competition. This prestigious event saw participation from over 2,000 students across 200+ schools in 20 states, with more than 400 teachers involved.

Guided by STEM Instructor Shagufta Shamim, Deepak and Sunny excelled through various competitive rounds. Their journey began with the online mode and advanced to the Cluster Round of Science and Maths Model Making Tech-Engineering Tinkering 2024, where they secured First Prize with their innovative model, the “Adjustable Bridge”.

Their success continued at the Zonal level competition held in Kolkata on August 21, 2024, where they again won First Prize with their “Weather Detector” model. The culmination of their efforts took place at the National STEM Challenge Mega Finale in Bangalore on August 27, 2024. Here, they emerged victorious with their groundbreaking “River-Pond Cleaner Machine” earning First Prize, a certificate, and a cash award of ₹50,000. Their achievement was celebrated by the Deputy Chief Minister, the Education Minister, and the Chief of ISRO Karnataka.

This significant accomplishment reflects the exceptional talent and dedication of our students and underscores the positive impact of quality STEM education. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Deepak Kumar, Sunny Kumar, and Ms. Shagufta Shamim for their outstanding work and achievements.
