Tata Steel Summer Camp 2024: The JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur was abuzz with excitement today as the Tata Steel Summer Camp 2024 began with a grand opening ceremony, presided over by Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel.
Scheduled from May 11 to 31, this year’s summer camp promises to be a lively hub of activity, ranging from students to young adults as well as their parents. With 22 sporting disciplines on offer, the atmosphere is filled with anticipation as participants prepare to hone their skills and take on new challenges.
Beyond just sports, the camp aims to promote a culture of fitness, wellness and healthy living among the youth of the city. Led by over 150 expert trainers and volunteers from Tata Steel’s sports department, the camp will be enriching and enjoyable for all involved.
Participants aged between 6 to 19 years will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of sports which include, but not limited to, archery, athletics, badminton, boxing, basketball, chess, cricket, golf, handball, horse riding, karate, kabaddi, Are not limited to. Roller skate/roll ball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, football, zumba, yoga and volleyball. Additionally, special coaching will be provided at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy.
A highlight of the camp is its timing, which coincides with the summer vacation period, which is expected to attract a significant presence of eager participants.
But it’s not just youth who are active in the summer. Parents have the opportunity to register for yoga and Zumba classes, while a number of additional activities and sessions have been arranged for families to enjoy together. Fun outings to Nikko Park and Tata Steel Zoological Park promise to add an extra dimension of entertainment and relaxation to the camping experience.
