NTHA Wins Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Junior State Hockey Championship 2024

Jamshedpur: The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Junior State Hockey Championship 2024 (Men) concluded with a spectacular and thrilling final match between Team NTHA and Team Ranchi. In this championship match held on the astroturf of Naval Tata Hockey Academy, both the teams performed brilliantly and tied 3-3, after which Team NTHA became the champion in a dramatic shootout.

Player Naveen Kerketta was the Player of the Match in the final match. Team Khunti and Team Simdega competed for the Hardliners. Team Simdega defeated Team Khunti 3-1. Player Sundar Purti from Team Khunti was the Player of the Match.

The final match saw the presence of the honored guests, Mr. Mohan Ganta, Head HR Tata Motors and Hockey Jharkhand officials including Mr. Rajat Singh Town Admin and Sports applauding the excellent performance of the players.

The tension escalated as the final whistle blew indicating the end of regulation time and the match went into a penalty shootout to determine the champion. In the high-stakes shootout, Team NTHA eventually prevailed and won the championship title.

The Naval Tata Hockey Jharkhand Junior State Hockey Championship 2024, organised under the aegis of Hockey Jharkhand, featured eight teams from different districts of Jharkhand. The teams were divided into Pool A (NTHA, Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Bokaro) and Pool B (Simdega, Gumla, Khunti, Ramgarh). All the matches were played at the Naval Tata Hockey Academy, Jamshedpur, with the teams staying at the JRD Sports Complex.
