Jamshedpur : The Mathematics Department of NIT Jamshedpur organised a five day workshop on “Numerical and Machine Learning Techniques for Fluid Dynamics (NM-Fluids 2024)” from 19 to 23 May 2024.
The purpose of organising this workshop was to give knowledge on new developments in the field of Numerical and Machine Learning Techniques for Fluid Dynamics.
The workshop witnessed participation of more than 30 research scholars and faculties from various institutes located in different parts of India (for example Jharkhand, Orrisa, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh etc). The Head of Mathematics department Dr Raj Nandkeolyar (Convener), Dr Rajat Tripathi (Cordinator) and Prof. Ramayan Singh (Chairman) made significant contributions in the organisation of this 5-day workshop. The expert speakers were from differed IITs, NITs, and various other reputed institutions of the country and abroad. Key speaker of the workshop include Prof. Kozi Fukagata, Keiyo University, Japan who delivered a talk on Machine learning assisted flow control using convolution neural network. The program ended with National Anthem.
