Special lecture on “Scientificity of Kumbh Mahaparv” by Dr Om Prakash Pandey at NIT Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur : The program started with a welcome address by Prof R V Sharma, Chairman and Deputy Director of Indian Knowledge Tradition Centre (IKS) in which he presented a brief account of Prof Pandey’s achievements. Former scientist Prof Pandey has served as scientific advisor to 3 former honourable Prime Ministers late PV Narasimha Rao, late Chandrashekhar and late Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Thereafter, honourable Director Prof Gautam Sutradhar addressed Prof Pandey on his achievements in astronomy and cosmology.

Dr Pandey said in his address that NIT Jamshedpur’s Director Prof Gautam Sutradhar is the best director in the world. Prof Pandey gave a special lecture on the scientific nature of Kumbh Mahaparv. In his lecture, he explained in detail about the importance of Kumbh from a scientific point of view and also presented a scientific analysis of the relationship between water waves and Vedic mantras.

Dr. Pandey said that the Kumbh of Prayagraj is the best among the other three Kumbhs of Haridwar (Ganga River), Ujjain (Shipra River) and Nasik (Godavari River). Because Prayagraj is the confluence of the three goddesses Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati i.e. Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati. Prof. Pandey said that the great journey of taking consciousness from one consciousness to upgrade the consciousness is called Kumbh, i.e. Kumbh is a rare moment.

The program was conducted by Dr. Manish Jha. The program was attended by Dr Gauri Shankar Mishra (Nadi Vadiya & Ayurvedacharya), Shri Ramesh Kumar Tripathi ( Secretary Legislative Assembly Uttar Pradesh), Dr. Nishith Kumar Rai (Registrar, NIT Jamshedpur), Prof. Shashi Bhushan Prasad and the Heads of all Departments, Deans and a large number of faculty members, employees and students listened to Dr. Pandey’s lecture attentively.
